About this event

Shaw Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, in partnership with HEAL Collaborative, invites you to a powerful, two-day community educational series:

Caregivers Conquering Cancer: Advancing Health Equity in Multiple Myeloma.

This free event is designed especially for African American caregivers, patients, and community members seeking knowledge, support, and empowerment in the face of multiple myeloma—a blood cancer that disproportionately affects African Americans.

Join us as we center the “village” of caregivers, elevate trusted community voices, and break down barriers to equitable cancer care through culturally responsive education and open conversation.

  • Understand racial disparities in cancer diagnosis and outcomes
  • Hear from expert oncologists, genetic counselors, and caregiver advocates
  • Gain access to resources, mental health tools, and clinical trial information
  • Share your voice during open forums and Q&A panels
  • Enjoy complimentary meals and educational materials
